Prediman K. Shah, MD, director of the division of cardiology and the Atherosclerosis Research Center at Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute in Los Angeles. He is a professor of medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, and was the chief of the editorial committee of the Screening for Heart Attack Prevention and Education (SHAPE) Task Force, which developed screening guidelines to help prevent heart attacks.
