Justin Ryan, PhD, a research scientist who leads the Cardiac 3D Print Lab at Phoenix Children’s Hospital/Arizona State University and an adjunct faculty member at Arizona State University, where he specializes in the production of patient-specific 3-D models of hearts, brain tumors, bones and vascular anomalies. He is also cochair of Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM), which provides standards for the creation, storage and management of 3-D medical files.
