J. James Thimons, OD, a clinical professor of optometry at Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia and an optometrist in private practice in Fairfield, Connecticut. He is chairman of the National Glaucoma Society and a member of the national board of directors of Prevent Blindness America. In 2005, he was inducted into the National Optometry Hall of Fame.
