Annette Funicello (1942-2013) was the star of the popular 1950s television series The Mickey Mouse Club . She also starred in the motion pictures Babes in Toyland and The Shaggy Dog , as well as several beach party movies with Frankie Avalon. Ms. Funicello was the recipient of numerous awards in recognition of her professional accomplishments and her efforts to raise public awareness about MS.
