More
than 40 million people over age 12 are on antidepressants in the US. Yet there
are concerns among many about the dangerous side effects and low effectiveness
of these very powerful drugs. Frighteningly, doctors aren’t talking about it,
and many prescribers may not even know about these side effects. One out of
five prescriptions are prescribed off-label today, meaning that there is a
very good chance the drug your doctor prescribed for you has not been approved
for that particular use. So what does this mean? Bottom Line brought in Joe
Graedon to discuss.
