While the cheesecloth is steeping (and cooling), shampoo and rinse your hair as usual. Discard the cheesecloth bag, and use the warm, color-enhancing liquid left in the pot as a next-to-last rinse over your hair (try to pour most on your hair, from top to ends, rather than on your scalp, although these ingredients should be perfectly safe on your head and skin). The last rinse should be a healthy stream of cool water (about one quart). Use this treatment once a month to add vibrancy to your hair color in a healthy, nonchemical way.
