John Winkelman, MD, PhD, is chief of the Sleep Disorders Clinical Research Program at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, Mass. He is also a professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Winkelman has published more than 150 articles, reviews, and book chapters. He is the editor of the textbook Foundations of Psychiatric Sleep Medicine, and founder of RLS Curbside, a free, HIPAA-compliant provider-to-provider online forum for physicians to discuss difficult restless leg syndrome (RLS) cases and ask questions about managing RLS.
