Steven Z. Kussin, MD, previously a gastroenterologist and founder of The Shared Decision Center in Utica, New York. He has taught at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, both in New York City. Dr. Kussin is author of Doctor, Your Patient Will See You Now: Gaining the Upper Hand in Your Medical Care and of the forthcoming book The Slippery Slope: Avoiding Medical Care’s Cascading Catastrophes.
