Costco Anywhere Visa by Citi, which replaced the TrueEarnings Card from Costco and American Express on June 20, pays back 4% cash on up to $7,000 in annual gas purchases worldwide (equal to $280 cash back) and then 1%…3% on dining and travel…2% on Costco non-gas purchases…and 1% on most other purchases anywhere. Sam’s Club MasterCard, which replaced its Discover card in 2014, pays 5% back on up to $6,000 in annual gas spending in the US and Puerto Rico and then 1%…3% on dining and travel…and 1% on most other purchases at Sam’s Club but not elsewhere.
