Oh, no. Last night was not a good sleep night, and you have a morning meeting that’s sure to last forever. Here’s a quick energy trick to use when you need to pay attention and your body does not want to.

If you are among other people (perhaps coworkers at a meeting) and you feel as though you’re going to nod off, press your elbows against your sides and press your knees together for a few seconds (count one-one thousand, two-one thousand, etc.). You may look a little odd for a few seconds, but then again, none of the sleeping people at the meeting will notice. Exerting some pressure this way will increase your blood circulation, and you should feel more awake and responsive.
